Before founding Wunderite in 2018, Peter worked at a family insurance agency selling most types of insurance. In this role, Peter earned industry licenses and credentials (CPCU, CRM, CIC, LIA), represented independent agents to lawmakers in Washington DC with the IIABA, and built and implemented technology for the agency.

Intrigued by computers since he was four, Peter hacked the UI of AOL Instant Messenger, started modhalo.net to enhance Halo gameplay, and built bulletprooflinks.com (featured in Wired) before graduating high school. He quickly figured that the insurance industry needed better technology.

Peter earned an MBA with distinction from Boston College as a Dean’s Scholar and a BS in Mathematics Cum Laude from Wheaton (IL).

Peter lives in Massachusetts with his wife and two kids. He is a former traveler, recent drone enthusiast, and likes to be outside.

Prior to founding Wunderite, Joe Schnare spent 7 years at a family-owned wholesale distribution business, where he helped manage general operations, oversaw finance and accounting, and was the de-facto head of IT.  Joe has extensive experience implementing new technology, handling everything from data conversion and new system configuration to employee training and user onboarding. 

Joe earned his MBA from Boston College, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, and his BS in Finance Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University.

Joe lives in Boston but spends any free time at the beach in Hampton, New Hampshire. He is an avid poker player and board game enthusiast.
